Duct Robot UFO Mapping

betahaus asked me to do some visuals for their atoms&bits party. when i went there before to check out the location, i saw this great piece of duct-tape graffiti art by organ aka. normboy on the wall of their large room where the party was planned to take place. i instantly knew that this piece *had to* be transformed into a mapping. after some tech and logistic annoyances during the final set-up and no way to adjust the projector keystone, it eventually worked quite well and i got a lot of positive feedback from the audience.
the front room was illuminated by a slide projection of hilmikillme’s work and some tv monitors looping selected video works of auderoseselavy, raquel meyers, lucy benson, decrepticon and pixelnoizz. VisualBerlin reprazent!

fRED | 10.03.2009Vielleicht doch eher ein Spielplatz. Gerade flug die Nachricht durch das Netz das es einen neuen Release der Videoprojection Tools gibt. Die Software läuft in OS X und Windows und soll so alle möglichen Mapping Geschichten sehr einfach machen. In etwa zur selben Zeit fiel mir eine TH2G digital in die Hände. Plötzlich treibt der Spieltrieb das Hirn an, das sieht schon zwei Projektoren im Karakusch, vielleicht schafft es noch der eine andere Kollege einen einzustecken und Donnerstag mitzubringen, wenn dann noch ein kleiner Haufen VGA oder DVI Kabel da wäre, hm klingt nach einem perfekten Spielplatz um sich für den Alexanderplatz ein Konzept anzudenken und zu probieren. Also liebe Visualisten schreibt doch mal in die Kommentare ob ihr lust habt was ihr noch an Zeug mitbringen könntet, dann würde ich versuchen den Rest zu besorgen und der Abend wir bunt.
