Zur Berliner Fashionweek steht eine marktorientierte Ausrichtung auf den zahlreichen exklusiven Modeveranstaltungen im Vordergrund. Mode als Kunstform und zugleich als politische Handlung war dort in der Vergangenheit weitgehend unterbelichtet. Das wollen wir mit der BUTT & BETTER ändern. Dafür reichern wir die Präsentation von Mode mit Akrobatik an, erweitern die Veranstaltung um eine Ausstellung mit Raum- und Installationskunst und sensibilisieren für ökologische und soziale Verantwortung von Mode in unseren Workshops und mit der abschließenden Fair-Trade-Parade.

The project SYNÆSTHESIA deals with the neurological phenomenon synesthesia, where people see colours for numbers, have a colourful experience when listening to music or many other different associations.

With the aim to find a way to communicate to non synesthetes what these people experince, the project will bring artists and synesthetes into a creative dialogue.

The results will be exhibited in Berlin around march/april 2012.

We are still looking for participantsfor that project!

Pedro Zaz of UnitedVJs and I team up again for this second MadMapper workshop in Berlin. We hosted one back in August. People came from all over Europe and we even had someone come all the way from Korea!

The focus will be how to use MadMapper using the Syphon enabled VJ software of your choice. We also demonstrate how to use the Spacial Scanner, MAD_lab tools and provide technical/creative feedback.

Requirements:
- A Mac computer running OS X 10.6 or greater
- VGA adapter that works with your laptop
- A joke involving peaches and/or possums

The workshop is 50€. The fee allows us to cover the basic costs, rental of projectors and the space. Only 20 places are available.

You will be provided with a time limited license of MadMapper and, optionally, a time limited license of Modul8.
The workshop will be conducted in English.
