SONNENSEITEN Music Festival was taking place just outside Berlin. The crew behind Sonnenseiten have put a lot of care into this event - a beautiful lakeside location, a small forest, camping space and even a waterski machine.
It was one of the last summer festival opportunities 2010, and a few of us from Visual Berlin were doing the visual setup at the event, and of course playing live on both stages:

The collaborative trio merge found objects, unorthodox contraptions, multi instrumentalism and persistence of vision to create an atmosphere both nostalgic and otherworldly.
Together, musicians and producers Tom Hill and Andy Tytherleigh and video artist The Joy of Box make connections between seemingly unrelated elements and create a world that plays the scale of human emotions.
With atmosphere oozing from their fingertips, it’s no wonder the Dublin Fringe Festival described Origamibiro as “undoubtedly the most original offering of the fringe calendar”
This promo marks the first of a new series of av works to come out of the new Origamibiro stable- The BiroBox Workshops. Originally a Nottingham based audio-visual night run by Origamibiro, the Workshops has expanded to become a working space where biro can develop new ideas, experiments and working methods to play live. ”

The MEDIA FACADES FESTIVAL EUROPE 2010 is initiated by Public Art Lab / Berlin in cooperation with iMAL / Brussels, m-cult / Helsinki, FACT / Liverpool, Ars Electronica Futurelab / Linz, Medialab-Prado / Madrid, Kitchen Budapest.
MEDIA FACADES FESTIVAL EUROPE 2010 will explore the networked possibilities of urban screens and media facades via internet and new technologies on a European level.
The format of the MEDIA FACADES FESTIVAL reflects on the increasing presence of massive-infrastructures with digital visual elements in public spaces while investigating their communicative function in the urban environment.
The festival will show especially developed art projects in Europe-wide Joint Broadcasting Events which aspire to share dreams of the different cities and report about local issues and exchange peoples’ stories and ideas. The media facades will be transformed into local stages and open a global window for cultural and societal processes to create a dialogue and connect the local public virtually with the other places throughout Europe.
Its long-term vision is to be a catalyst for the creation of a sustainable and transportable structure where artists, cultural professionals, arts organizations, cultural institutions, governmental bodies, private and commercial businesses, media and the general public, within Europe and beyond, can interact through the development of a new cultural communication format in the public space.

FLxER released a new version of their flash based VJ application!
FLxER application is about 80kb and is available for Windows, MAC, Linux,PocketPC, iPhone, iPad and all the other platform with Flash Player, there is also a fully functionality web version that can be used from every computer connected to internet (”USE NOW” button on the header).
