Da hab ich mich ja ein bisschen geärgert, da kommt einer der Top Acts from Mapping nach Berlin versucht mich die ganze Zeit zu erreichen und ich bin irgendwie daran vorbeigepeilt. Nun gut, mag ich die Gelegenheit nutzen und das Projekt doch noch ein bisschen featuren.
Playmodes heißt das Projekt und entwickelt eine Software die stark auf audiovisuelle Liveperformance ausgelegt ist, wobei Live meiner Meinung nach einen höheren Level erreicht. Es geht hauptsächlich um die Verarbeitung von Ton und Bildaufnahmen in Echtzeit, das Projekt Refluxus, was hier in Berlin im Rahmen des Poesie Festivals aufgeführt wurde illustriert das eigentlich ganz gut.

Dies war auch die Performance die auf dem Mapping gezeigt wurde und hier zeigt sich mal wieder das Live doch mehr kann, wer also die Chance hat sich das mal anzugucken hingeh Befehl.
Zum Ende gibt es noch den Bierdeckel den sie in unser Vereinsheim gesteckt haben um uns einzuladen, leider war niemand da.

Canary Island Urban Culture
fRED | 2.07.2009Wir haben gerade Besuch gekriegt von den kanarischen Inseln hier Delay TV. Die sind hier im Rahmen der Canary Islands Urban Culture.
Nach zwei erfolgreichen Festivals in Madrid und Dakar steht Berlin an. Nun sollen in der Stadt, die weltweit als erste Adresse für Undergroundkunst und -Kultur gehandelt wird, die besten der kanarischen Künstler vorgestellt werden. Dazu werden im Rahmen des URBAN AFFAIRS Festivals über 2 Wochen im alten Weddinger Schwimmbad STATTBAD Graffiti Art, Street Art, Graphic Design, Spielzeuge, Video Art, Photographie uvm. von den kanarischen Künstlern präsentiert.
Am 7. Juli gibt es dann eine Abschlußsause im Cassiopeia gerüchteweise mit freiem Eintritt, Buffet und der einen oder anderen Flasche Wein. Nicht nur das ein guter Grund vielleicht mal da vorbeizuschauen angekündigt wurden uns mindestens zwei AV-Performances.

“the topside is the layer one, the underside is layer two, from left to right the whole playtime of the video, and you can draw the playing curve. The topside is a bit different, the grey squares are fix cue points, if the draw is touching it, the loop jumping back to the cue point. The horizontal circle with number, is the amount of points, if its a low number (1 or 2) you can make a fast scratch (at the video 1:17), if its a big value you can draw many points.
The vertical number is an lfo, like an autodraw, if its 0 the curve is that what you draw, if its a bigger number you need just to hold down your cursor and make a part of the loop playing.
The red points are effects, if the cursor cover (not need to hold) apply the effect.”

Neukölln VJ Set

For the “48h Neukölln Festival”, VisualBerlin’s VJ Georgina Espasa will present abstract Videos Art (filmed in Neukölln), and on TOP of that, SJWHT and others musicians will improvise an accompaniment in musical form. Neukölln is one of the oldest regions in Berlin, and has always developed in it’s own unique way. On June 26, these artists will try and portray this in artistic form.

This Friday night at 21 Uhr, Makiho, Simon, Fletch, and SJWHT are giving a free improvised, free concert with Georgina VJing simultaneously.

Cue VJ Hardware Concept

“Cue made of a software-hardware combo turns your laptop into a complete VJ system. The Main features are a 15,4″ Touchscreen and a linear moving Knob-fader. Certain areas of the screen represent information in context with the position of the knob-fader. Alterations with the knob-fader are displayed by movement, scaling and rotation of graphics. These elements gain complexity at higher zoom levels and become touch sensitive. The visual jockey is able to mix loops, apply effects in an intuitive way as well as access a vast library.”
