August 2008 ein internationales, themenbezogenes Kunstfestival, das im j\u00e4hrlichen Turnus zeitgen\u00f6ssische Fotografie, Videokunst, Streetart, Malerei und Grafik in einem au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Rahmen in K\u00f6ln pr\u00e4sentiert. Etwa 50 Ausstellungen finden an verschiedenen Orten (in Ladenlokalen, Wohnungen, leer stehenden Geb\u00e4uden oder anderen Off-Locations) in ganz K\u00f6ln statt.<br \/>\nZur Beteiligung an den Ausstellungen l\u00e4dt der artrmx e.V. K\u00fcnstler ein, Arbeiten oder Serien zum Jahresthema 2008 \u201eWHERE IS MY MIND?\u201c einzusenden. Der artrmx e.V. kuratiert die Arbeiten in Zusammenarbeit mit einem k\u00fcnstlerischen Beirat und verteilt sie auf die unterschiedlichen Ausstellungsorte.<br \/>\nZus\u00e4tzlich stellt der artrmx e.V. ein Rahmenprogramm zusammen mit Sonderausstellung, Vernissage- und Finissage-Party sowie Symposium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JAHRESTHEMA 2008: WHERE IS MY MIND?<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8222;The mind of the artist is always the point of maximal sensitivity and resourcefulness in exposing altered realities in the common culture.&#8220; Herbert Marshall McLuhan<\/p>\n<p>Hochkonjunktur der Reize \u2013 auf dem Marktplatz der Werbeschreier, Digitalschausteller und Politgaukler pendelt die kollektive Aufmerksamkeit zwischen unz\u00e4hligen kommerziellen M\u00f6glichkeiten. H\u00f6chste Zeit f\u00fcr eine private Inventur: Wo stehe ich als Individuum? Welche Entdeckungen, Einsichten und Enth\u00fcllungen sind mir pr\u00e4sent? Wo tr\u00fcgt sch\u00f6ner Schein das wahre Sein? Und welche Illusion ist es dennoch wert, auf sie hereinzufallen? Der artrmx e.V. fordert junge K\u00fcnstler auf: Seht, wo andere nichts sehen! Gesucht sind wache, unkonventionelle sowie originelle Positionen, die die Gegenwart dokumentarisch oder k\u00fcnstlerisch reflektieren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TEILNAHME<\/strong><br \/>\nZur Teilnahme zugelassen sind K\u00fcnstler, die auf professioneller Ebene und konzeptionell mit ihrem jeweiligen Medium arbeiten. Erwartet werden inhaltlich ungew\u00f6hnliche Sichtweisen, die in einer der f\u00fcnf Disziplinen FOTOGRAFIE, VIDEOKUNST, MALEREI, STREETART (Stencils, Cut-Outs, Skulpturen, Kreidezeichnungen, Graffiti) oder GRAFIK (Illustration, Grafikdesign, Comic, Buchkunst, Animation) umgesetzt wurden. Eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Jahresthema 2008 ist verpflichtend. Die Teilnahmegeb\u00fchr betr\u00e4gt 40 Euro.[\/lang_de]<br \/>\n[lang_en]<strong>ARTRMX COLOGNE VOL.01<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>COLOGNE\u2019S OFF-SHOW FOR CONTEMPORARY ART<\/strong><br \/>\nStarting in August 22nd till 31st 2008 \u201eARTRMX COLOGNE VOL.01\u201d is a topic based art festival that presents contemporary photography, street art, painting, graphics and video art in an extraordinary frame \u2013 a platform for lively exchanges between international artists, collectors, gallery-owners and art interested people.<br \/>\nThe artrmx cologne vol. 01 exhibitions take place in different locations (such as galleries, apartments, empty buildings or off-locations) throughout Cologne. To participate in these exhibitions, the artrmx e. V. invites artists to send in their work or their series in regards to the given subject for 2008 \u201eWHERE IS MY MIND?\u201c. In collaboration with artistic advisors, the artrmx e. V. will assemble and distribute the work among the different exhibition spaces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUBJECT 2008: WHERE IS MY MIND?<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8222;The mind of the artist is always the point of maximal sensitivity and resourcefulness in exposing altered realities in the common culture.&#8220; Herbert Marshall McLuhan<br \/>\nAssault on the senses: in the market of advertisement-bawlers, digital-showmen and politics-jugglers the collective attention fluctuates between uncountable commercial possibilities. It\u2019s about time for a private inventory: What do I stand for? Which detections, discernments and disclosures are in my focus of interest? Where does the outward appearance deceive reality? And which illusion is worth to fall for? The artrmx association challenges young artists: see, where no one else can see! Alert, unconventional and inventive positions are wanted, reflecting the present artistically or in documentary style.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARTICIPATION<\/strong><br \/>\nThe obligation lies on the examination of the 2008 given subject \u201eWHERE IS MY MIND?\u201d. Any works from the following genres are allowed to participate: photography, street art, painting, graphics and video art. Participation fee: 40 Euro.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE ARTRMX e.V.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe artrmx e. V. is responsible for the conception, the organisation, the PR and execution of the programme as well as for the realisation of an exhibition booklet. In addition the artrmx e.
