Profile:
Yagama studied Fine Arts with a focus on Painting, and Cultural Anthropology, at Hunter College, CUNY, in 2001. She has continued to paint and has shown her painting work in several exhibitions in the USVI and Bulgaria.
In 2006, she started creating site specific installations and founded the Uga Buga art collective. She carried out a number of projects as the group's artistic director and creative, including site specific installations in Marocco and Spain, and a permanent labyrinth garden in Sofia's Geo Milev park.
Yagama's close involvement with live media and film started in 2007, initially as a VJ at various festivals and events around Europe and Bulgaria. Since then, she has performed as a live video artist in Bulgaria, Germany, UK, Russia, Italy and Slovakia, among others. She has continued her artistic development by collaborating on live media projects involving theatre and dance, such as award winning KaroL:LoraK and Gladen Sam. She has also worked as an editor and production designer on various short films, and was a prop artist in the feature film DAU, shot in the Ukraine (2009).
