Profile:

Christian Sonntag aka CHRS SMTHNG is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Berlin, working in audio-visual arts with photography, video and sound. He completed a traditional education in music theory and instrument play (accordeon) in young years. He contributed in various orchestral compositions, including an orchestral composition by Karl-Heinz Stockhausen.

He approached realtime video after tapping the potential of photography. His imagery plays with formal realism and narrative structures, developing universes beyond images, communicating poetic and narrative journeys. He participated in several collaborations with international musicians, sound and video artists.

He is recently part of SCOPE Sessions, a monthly event focusing on artist talks about contemporary intermedia arts and technology.
