Shift Festival kicks off..
lucy benson | 23.10.2009I was kindly invited to join Videokultur for their residence at Shift Festival, Basel. The festival officially opened last night but the main programm starts today, with an overwhelming amount of exhibitions, screenings, workshops, talks and concerts crammed into the next 36 hours.
It’s hard to know where to start.. perhaps with another coffee. More updates to follow.

am Sonntag um 14 Uhr treffen wir uns vor dem Elefantentor des Berliner Zoos. Wir filmen und fotografieren gemeinsam die Pinguine das Panzernashorn und vor allem die Affen. Die Ergebnisse werden dann beim Share am Donnerstag ab 22 Uhr im Lux präsentiert.

endlich ist es soweit. die entwicklung von *spark und d-fuse’s DVI-mixer, der im juli bei electrovision in london zum ersten mal der öffentlichkeit als prototyp präsentiert wurde, geht in die nächste runde. dem involvierten videoprozessorhersteller soll mittels eines fragebogens/bestellformulars nahegebracht werden, dass ein konkretes interesse seitens der VJ-szene an solch einem gerät existiert, damit dieser zeit, geld und energie in die weiterentwicklung und verbesserung der firmware steckt. alle details hier.

Yes, it´s at LUX again! Another share session comes up on 29th of October 09 at LUX in Kreuzberg, a place and space for a nextlevel open audiovisual jamsession.
Be prepared for some great new action, including yourself in the visual set. DJ Politone will spin some wicked shit of drum and bass and beyond on the turntables while the visual slots are as usual open for everybody. The location is wicked and we get some backup help and participants from our organisation visualberlin.org!

This night is the conclusion of a one week workshop led by Anne Roquigny.
